In an age of increased attacks, harassment, and even stabbings, many Toronto residents are concerned about the dangers of riding public transportation. However, not every Torontonian shares this fear, and some even take pleasure in the idea that they could be attacked at any given moment. The Boundary spoke with Caroline Greene, who has admitted to deriving sexual pleasure from riding the TTC.
“I wouldn’t say that I’m necessarily a ‘masochist’,” Greene commented when questioned about her sexual desires, “I just like the idea that pain could be inflicted on me, in theory.” Despite the delight she takes in suffering, Greene is not aroused by the fair hikes that have recently been introduced. Greene noted that she has had to decrease her use of the streetcar in order to save money.
When questioned on how much time she dedicates to taking transit, Greene admitted to just a few hours a week, but also commented on the dating scene at UofT; “Maybe if there was a way to get laid in this place, I wouldn’t have to do shit like this just to get off.”
