The Victoria College Book Sale is a staple of the fall term, popular with students and retirees alike. The sale is known for having a wide variety of books, but it appears the book sale left a glaring omission with their refusal to stock what some consider to be the “only important form of literature:” dark romance. Our correspondent was on the scene when distraught student Athena McKay could be heard fighting with an elderly volunteer.

“Why would anyone care about all of these old books? I can’t even find a single book with a mafia boss, kidnapping, Stockholm syndrome, and grumpy/sunshine! It’s ridiculous.” The student appeared to be dismayed after finding out that We Have Always Lived in the Castle was not about a steamy love affair involving a dark and brooding prince. The Boundary has reached out to the Friends of Victoria College for comment on their lack of literary diversity.
