International Student Stuck in Pearson Time Loop (Again)

PEARSON INTL AIRPORT – Every August, hundreds upon hundreds of newly-admitted international students arrive at Toronto’s Lester B. Pearson International Airport in the hopes of making their mark on the shining beacon of Canadian academia. Little do they know, they have descended upon a scene of carnage known as the Canadian “air travel” industry. They can only hope to make it to campus alive and in one piece.

Harpreet Kaur, aged 17, will not be so lucky. The Boundary managed to secure an interview with her grieving parents via video call.

“She was such a bright girl. We were so proud when she got accepted to the Rotman School of Commerce on a full ride, it didn’t even matter that she was a lesbian anymore. Now, we’ll never see our baby girl again, at least, not in person.”

When asked what they meant, they clarified: “She’s been stuck in a time loop! It started when she got in line at customs. That creepy robot thing took a picture of her face, and then she says everything went dark. When she woke up, she was at baggage claim, where her bags have been ‘in transit’ for five days now! If she tries to leave the airport, she wakes up in line for the Tim Hortons. We don’t know what to do!”

Thanks to generous support from kind strangers, Harpreet has been surviving on airport Tim Hortons food, which might actually be worse than dying. The Boundary’s archives reveal that this is not the first time an international student has been stuck in a time loop. In 2009, Patrick O’Reilly faced a similar fate when trying to fly home for Bealtaine. Anonymous sources say that his screams haunt the security checkpoint at the mysterious and elusive Terminal 2.

If you or your family have been victimized by a Pearson time loop, you may be eligible for compensation.
