By now, you’ve probably heard the news. The Toronto Zoo plans on forcing its animals to take the COVID-19 vaccine. That’s right. Apparently, stepping all over the rights and freedoms of our nation’s human citizens wasn’t enough. (Has no one in this Orwellian government read Animal Farm?)
The initial reaction to this news, naturally, is to pray for the animals. Gone are the days when they could wake up in their metal cage every morning, pace around for hours in a tightly contained circle, and make their own decisions on what to put in their body. Gone are the days when the animals could simply be mistreated––now, they’re being misinformed.
The question then becomes: will the animals stand for this? Will the sheep join the sheeple and let the big man tell them what to do? Or will they fight back, just like the captive tigers who eventually kill each other after spending their whole lives in the same confined space.
We live in strange times, where fake news is everywhere and people will believe just about anything. All we can hope for is that the Toronto Zoo animals do their own research and come to their own conclusions.
And if, in the end, the animals realize that vaccination isn’t the way, all they have to do is join the fight for freedom and leave––after somehow escaping from their highly secure, inhospitable cages.
