For the duration of the Eras Tour, every Swiftie knows “all too well” how much of a struggle it is to get their hands on tickets to Taylor’s epic 11-album bonanza of a concert. Stadiums have been selling out within minutes, and scalpers are making fortunes off of inflated resales.
For fans of the pop star who don’t want to mortgage their homes or tap into their children’s college savings, it’s difficult to secure tickets at all, much less prime seats with full view of Pennsylvania’s most influential figure, with Joe Biden placing second by a wide margin.
But, one dedicated fan scored the deal of a lifetime on her ticket to Swift’s final Toronto show. Betty McGraw, a second year student at Victoria College, only had to spend $3,500 to hear the singer perform live at Scotiabank Arena. Unfortunately, her “obstructed view” ticket placed her outside the stadium. “I can’t believe I got such a good deal on these tickets, I can almost see Taylor!” McGraw said, standing outside the rammed arena in the cold while making friendship bracelets with frozen fingers. “Sure, my view is a little obscured, but I took two edibles before this, so I can sort of picture what she’s doing while I listen to the muffled reverberations. Do you think she’s wearing the black Reputation bodysuit? Probably, yeah. Well, she is for me, anyway.”
We here at The Boundary applaud Betty for being such a thrifty Swiftie. We have also since referred her to the counseling interns at the Dean’s office.
